City of Oaks racing spectator

My daughter's friend ran her first half marathon today. We cheered her on along the way and a nice brunch afterwards. The race was sold out, with over 7,000 runners in all the races (5k, 8k, half, and full). This was my first race as a spectator. I'm feeling another race coming up.

I ran my first marathon in 2002, a City of Oaks one. I've done 4 marathons. All of them local, City of Oaks and Tobacco Road. I've done a number of half marathons with my last being the Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon in 2016.

This post is not only sharing a good event and nice day, shooting for it to be a motivator too. Let's see if this time next year, I'm running a half marathon!
