First meetup of the year, tailscale at kramden
Thursday, Jan 22, attended Tailscale community meetup at Kramden.
I liked how this event was handled. The sponsor(tailscale) rep did one of the 3 presentations. Talked about homelabbing and it's benefits. A person from Grafana talked about monitoring and using tailscale. Another person, from RedHat, talked about naming machines. Nothing salesy and still did a good job representing the products. Reminded me of the DevOps meetups some years ago. I'm looking forward to more of these.
Updated: here's a link to the slides from the meetup.
I also signed up for a volunteer night at Kramden. I did one of their geek-a-thons, apparently quite some time in the past. Let's see if this triggers my hardware interest!
