New Year, look back and forward
Wow, 2026 is here and already a few weeks in. I have podcasts and articles waiting to be written about. Haven't gotten to them, because this post has to be done first.
Made sense to me, well, not really.
Some 2025 things
- Not enough hiking...like really not enough.
- According to MapMyRun,
418 workouts
453 miles
6.26 miles farthest run – ugh. - according to Kindle, 52 books read. Kindle Unlimited keeps suggesting good books.
- Wrapped up first year of new role as systems architect.
- Completed 4 CNCF certifications.
Argo, Kubernetes dev, admin, and security. - Auto accident, resulting in some downtime, recovery, and new car.
- Life was richer than this list!
2026 things
- Hike at least once a month, for reals this year.
- Run more. Train for City of Oaks half marathon. (no I haven't signed up...yet)
- Use the Audible credits and listen to more books. Not sure how this will work with all the podcasts I listen.
- Complete a couple more certifications. The certifications are used as motivation to go deeper on different subjects.
- Post an article here, at the very least once a month.
- Stay healthy.
- Enjoy life.
